If you are looking for a healthy breakfast that is fast and easy to make than this is the recipe for you! It is dairy free and doesn’t have any added sugar. It is made with natural foods that will give you the energy you need to get through the day. You will feel great after eating it! I started using this recipe when I started the Daniel Fast. To sum up the Daniel Fast, you can only have foods made from the ground, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts. I had to find other alternatives for breakfast since you are not allowed eggs, dairy or meat. My typical breakfast would have been eggs and sausage or bacon. I had to find a breakfast that I enjoyed, and I did! This is a vegan and vegetarian friendly recipe as well. Listed below is my personal recipe. You can always switch up the fruits with your favorite. You can also substitute the peanut butter for almond butter, or some other type of butter. Making sure you read the ingredients for no added sugars. Customize as you like!

1 cup Water
½ cup Quaker Oats, Quick 1 – Minute Oatmeal
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon Ground Flax seed
1 tablespoon all-natural peanut butter
Pick any 2 fruits:
1 banana (sliced)
3 strawberries (sliced)
Hand full of Raspberries
Hand full of Blueberries

Bring the water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add in the oats and turn the heat down to medium. Cook the oats for about 1 minute; stirring occasionally. Take the oats off the heat before all the water is gone; you do not want to the oatmeal to be to dry. When you add the other ingredients, it will soak up the water. Pour the oats into a bowl, add the cinnamon, ground flax seed, peanut butter and mix well. Pick any two fruits that you like the best. I personally like the banana and strawberries together and the blueberries and raspberries together, but you can mix it up! Make sure the bananas and strawberries are thinly sliced. After adding the fruit, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
