We would like to take this time to thank you, the community, for your involvement in helping us pick our new logo design and for the amazing support we have received from all of you.  Thank you to all patients that have come through our doors.  With your help and motivation, we have been able to develop BetterU, offering group exercise classes, including Rock Steady Boxing to Fight Back Against Parkinsons, and one-on-one personal training classes in a studio to be opening soon in Lee’s Hill location!

We would also like to thank the Rappahannock Area YMCA for allowing us to open a clinic in the Massad branch.  We also wouldn’t be in the position to offer Aquatic Therapy without their incredible support.  They have been instrumental in our growth as an organization and we look forward to many more years working with them, as well as all of you!

With the development of these new programs, we thought it would be a great time to re-brand and update our logo.  A huge Thank you to MetroNova Creative, we are excited to unveil our new logo and name!  The creative team at MetroNova came up with 3 concepts that we presented you on our facebook page (If you haven’t already done so, please check us out on our Facebook Page.  After all comments and votes have been reviewed, the winner of the contest is:

A new name, new logo, and new tag line!! It was an incredible journey to come up with a new brand, and we’d like to share that with all of you now.

This Logo was chosen because the heart has always been a symbol of health, well-being, and vitality, and also means love, compassion, and caring.  The heart shape is integral for what we do as a company.  Physical Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Personal Training, and Group Exercise have benefits for heart health as well.  As a company, we want to show compassion for our patients, love for what we do, and bring health and well-being to our clients.

The blue hand lays over the heart. This is a symbol of respect, dignity, and honor.  This is what we want to show each of our patients and our community.  Each potential patient that walks through their door, sometimes even with their family and friends, is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of age, religion, gender, ethnicity, or any other factor.  We are honored to be able to provide services to each person that walks through the door and we wanted that to be reflected in our icon.  Research has also shown us that when we place our hands over our hearts, we tend to be more honest with others, something our company strives to do in all aspects of our work.

Manual assessment and treatment is vital to our examination process.  It is surprising to us how often we hear “My last therapist never put a hand on me and only gave me exercises.”  Touch is vital in determining the stability of a patient’s condition, assessing inflammation and joint mobility, and creating trust between practitioner and patient.

Blue is associated with feeling of calm, tranquility, confidence, trust, and persistence.  A darker blue has been shown to inspire feelings of loyalty, integrity, and responsibility.  Red is often associated with energy, passion, strength, and feelings of excitement.  These colors are what we hope to show each person that walks through our doors.

Our tagline is now,

representing the thought of moving you beyond your initial treatment, and into wellness for life.

We are all absolutely thrilled with our name, logo, and tagline; and we hope all of you are too!!
