Physical Therapy Assistant

I grew up in the Hampton Roads area before moving up to Fredericksburg because of my dad’s military orders. I was homeschooled my middle school and high school years and played travel basketball in my free time. I started working as a Physical Therapy Technician and fell in love with the occupation. While working as a tech, I earned an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Germanna Community College in 2026.

I have worked in the physical therapy world for three years as tech before transitioning to the PTA role.

My top three favorite books are “The Color of Water” by James Mcbride, ” Gather in My Name” by Maya Angelou, and “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak.

I feel that it is a great reminder for patients that your diagnosis does not define you as a person. All the victories that you have throughout your treatment, whether big or small, should be celebrated because you are getting better each day. I want to prioritize changing the patient’s negative mindsets into positive outcomes.

I enjoy the compassion that everyone brings to the table not only with the patients, but also with one another. Everyone is always so quick to help each other out and assist one another as needed.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, working out, and being around friends and family.
