Ashlee Fortier
PT Technician
I am a Stafford, Virginia native and a recent graduate of Penn State University — WE ARE!
I recently graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Fusion has previously allowed me shadowing opportunities, letting me shadow the PTs and PTAs for the past two years. I also worked as a PT Tech for 2 years at Penn State’s University Health Services.
Core Values: The core values that I find most important are commitment, compassion, and integrity. Every day, I try my best to embody these values and what they mean to me.
Favorite Quote: “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” – Fred Nietzsche
As a PT Tech, I help the PTs and PTAs carry out their plan of care for each patient by assisting with exercises, as well as some patient payments. I also ensure that the clinic can run smoothly by cleaning and performing general upkeep of the clinic.
Helping any patient fix their pain is a goal of mine, as I am still learning which PT disciplines I would be most interested in. Though something in my career that I hope to fix or help with is patient education regarding their case. I believe sharing knowledge with patients is an incredibly important step to gaining their trust and motivation.
“I love how Fusion is so committed and invested in each patient’s success. The overall clinic environment between therapists and patients is one that inspires me to want to be the best clinician that I can be in the future. Both therapists and patients have made a great impact on me through their stories and knowledge, and I am so grateful to be building these lasting connections.”
When I’m not at Fusion, I like to spend my time working out, and hanging out with my friends and family.
